I was born in Japan and grew up in San Francisco, California. I frequently traveled back and forth, so I am lucky to have strong ties to both cultures. I currently reside in Honolulu, Hawai’i—right in between the two places that shaped me. Each of these places hold a special place in my heart.

Illustration, painting, sculpting, and all things fine art were my first loves. I discovered my interest in design when I found myself getting involved in the marketing and branding side of the companies I worked for, despite that not being part of my position at all. I was eager to learn more about visual communication, and decided to return to school to pursue a degree in graphic design. Learning and practicing design has truly been one of the most exciting and meaningful experiences in my life.

When my eyes get tired from squinting at screens, I enjoy training Muay Thai, hiking, and weightlifting!
